HOTEL METROPOLITAN TOKYO HANEDA aims to be a kind of “resting perch” where guests can rest their wings mid-journey and restore their spirits before setting off on their next destination, with a smile on their faces. There are 13 different room types suited to different travel needs, as well as a roof-top observation deck, restaurant, gym, and other facilities to deliver a pleasant hotel stay for guests. The interior design is the work of Nikken Space Design, which has completed a wide variety of projects in Japan and overseas. Nikken Space Design also boasts an impressive record of wins in numerous design competitions.
All guest rooms in 13 different types are non-smoking and feature a “bar-like” interior design with a tranquil color scheme. Airport-side rooms offer a panoramic view of Haneda Airport, while the Riverside rooms have expansive views of the city beyond.
When you open the door of the guest room, the first thing to catch your eye is the large glass-dome light fixture. The soft filament lightbulb will create a comforting aura that contrast with the neo-futuristic lighting of the airport. There is also a high counter that can be used as a workspace or just to gaze leisurely out the window at the airport views. Some rooms will accommodate three guests, making them perfect for trips with family or friends.
